About Jerk Kingz

Neville Dewar was born with Jamaican flavor in his blood and fire in his soul. A proud son of Jamaican parents, Neville grew up surrounded by the rich culture, bold spices, and community-driven spirit that define the island. His journey into the world of food began with family — watching his uncle serve legendary jerk chicken at the Caribbean Day Parade in Brooklyn and learning from his aunt, who owned one of the first Jamaican restaurants in Brooklyn: Dewar’s.

These early experiences sparked a lifelong passion for hospitality and heritage. Years later, Neville turned that passion into purpose by launching Jerk Kingz, now open in Baldwin, NY. His mission is simple but powerful: bring the authentic taste of Jamaica to Long Island, and do it with heart, hustle, and heat.

At Jerk Kingz, every bite tells a story — of legacy, flavor, and a love for the culture that raised him. Neville is committed to honoring his family’s roots while creating a modern, fast-casual dining experience that keeps the island spirit alive.
